Town of Pendleton Announces its Façade Improvement Grant Program

 TOWN OF PENDLETON APPROVES A FAÇADE IMPROVEMENT GRANT PROGRAM

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – At the July 3, 2017, Pendleton Town Council Meeting, Council unanimously approved a Façade Improvement Grant Program to help improve the look of privately-held commercial buildings and businesses along the Town’s Corridor Overlay District and Town Square Overlay District.

The program provides for a one-time reimbursement grant not to exceed $2,000 on a first come first serve basis. For purposes of this program, eligible expenditures shall include expenses related solely to those exterior improvements.

Eligible improvements include exterior building improvements (cosmetic and/or structural), signage, lighting and landscaping, which are best visible from the street.

Examples:

~ Exterior painting or surface treatment

~ Decorative awnings

~ Window and/or door replacements or modifications

~ Storefront enhancements

~Landscaping

~ irrigation

~ Streetscape

~ Outdoor patios and decks

~ Exterior wall lighting

~ Decorative post lighting and architectural features
